"Merci Cafe is the best breakfast and lunch spot I’ve visited in Sarasota! The atmosphere is so cozy, peaceful, and welcoming. The staff is incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. It’s the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or lunch with your partner, friends, or family. "Lovely meal we had at this authentically French bakery restaurant. The croissants were as if we were in paris. The eggs benedict on the flat croissant was perfect. The egg was prepared as close to perfection and the entire meal required nothing else. We also enjoyed a fresh cinnamon roll made with croissant dough. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoy chatting about France with them. I would highly recommend visiting and enjoying their food and conversation. Highly recommend the eggs benedict."

"Merci Cafe was a wonderful brunch find. I had the quiche Lorraine, and it was unlike any quiche I’ve had before—so creamy, light, and delicate that it was almost more like a soufflé. Really delicious. The side salad was fresh and flavorful with what tasted like a homemade dressing. The almond croissant was beautifully done—light and flaky with a rich almond cream filling that wasn’t overly heavy. I also had a cappuccino, which was fine. Admittedly, I’m pretty particular about cappuccinos and find it hard to get a truly great one in the U.S. My companions enjoyed their meals as well. The croque monsieur was very tasty, and the pistachio croissant was a big hit. The people were very friendly, and one of the nicest things about Merci Cafe is that you don’t feel rushed. You can actually sit, enjoy your food, and have a leisurely brunch. Definitely worth a visit."
